Fall Is Here: Can Stone Be Applied All Year Round?

The only product that can alleviate this problem would be our screw-on stone product, as that requires no mortar and is all mechanically fastened so it can be installed in any weather.

Why does summer always go by so fast?

Now we're left to scramble to complete our outdoor projects before the dreaded snow starts falling. This is the time now to start finalizing those last-minute outdoor renovations/builds and get them going.

Our recommendation for any exterior mortar applied project: the temperature has to be above four degrees celsius for the concrete to cure properly and leave you without any issues from freeze/thaw cracks when the weather turns warm again.

There is an opportunity to heat and tarp around your installation area, but as soon as that heat is turned off under the tarp, you leave your mortar area vulnerable for issues and this can also be quite costly.

This timing is weather dependent as sometimes the freezing temperatures come much later than usual, but it's always something to keep an eye on if you're trying to get your stone up. If it does start to get cold early and you haven’t started then I always recommend waiting until spring. It will save you money and potential headaches from install issues arising.

The only product that can alleviate this problem would be our screw-on stone product, as that requires no mortar and is all mechanically fastened so it can be installed in any weather.

That being said, this leaves the door open to starting to think about your interior projects.

All of our products can be used inside and outside and they can create beautiful focal features in any room such as fireplaces, backsplashes, and feature walls.

So if you run out of time to do your exterior renovation or build then don’t hesitate to start to get

the creative juices flowing on how you can beautify your interior spaces!
